MISS THE BOAT?
You may have missed the boat on the overall "safe" holiday shipping deadline this year, but you still may not be out of luck if you need it by Christmas. Here's some more detailed info so you can decide if its still safe to order or not.
The truth is that there's nothing magical about the "safe" shipping deadline I give, which this year was December 10. Orders that come through on the 11th aren't marked or treated any differently - its just a date that broadly gives plenty of time for the range of products I offer, based on how long it usually takes for them to ship after ordering. It also accounts for standard delivery times based on watching other orders over the last few weeks. I'm not seeing many covid delay issues lately, but it's always a good idea to check those, too.
The basics:
- Safe Holiday Shipping Deadline: December 10
- Shirts & Stickers Holiday Safe Shipping Deadline: December 17
- Gift cards are always available and deliver instantly via email
Important note: shirt or sticker orders after December 19 will not ship until January 10
The companies I work with always work overtime during holidays to get things shipped as fast as possible, and every year, there's always a late order well beyond my deadlines that somehow gets there in time. But to play it safe, here is more info to help you decide if its too late to order:
The slowest items to make and ship are premium framed prints, flags, and pillows. These can take around 7 days after ordering before they ship, and then shipping time can take 3-7 days, depending on where in the US you are.
Basic framed prints, magnets, tote bags, and mugs lately usually ship 3-7 days after ordering; shipping for these can take 3-7 days.
Hats and unframed prints usually ship 3-5 days after ordering; then shipping usually takes 2-5 days.
Shirts and stickers usually ship 2 days after ordering; then shipping usually takes 2-5 days.
And finally, I always take some family time over the Christmas holiday. Since I ship or deliver shirt and sticker orders myself, those orders go on hold for a few weeks. This year, shirt and sticker orders received after December 19 will not ship until January 10. All other products continue to ship as normal, though.
If you're in doubt, feel free to contact me before ordering for more details or clarification on what you are about to order. No matter when you order, we'll do our best to get it to you, but the later the date, the higher the risk that it won't arrive in time.
