Imagine a tiny beach town tucked between a refinery, a power plant, and the ocean; A town with such an eclectic mix of people living & partying next to the surf that nearby kids were told not to go there. (they did anyway.) Until 1980, this was the town of El Porto, California. Today it may be a part of Lost LA, but it lives on as a neighborhood, despite those who try to erase its name and bulldoze its cottages. The name El Porto may be best known as one of LA's best surf breaks, but it also represents a classic California beach town spirit that will live forever.
Welcome to the beach.
